Cottage in the Woods was created to provide enlightened and compassionate guidance by a highly experienced counselor and minister whose work adheres to the highest standards of excellence and ethics.

To foster hope and healing in times of sadness and crisis  with sensitivity to spiritual concerns. To provide support in times of challenge, clarity in times of confusion, and direction when lost.

To encourage awareness in a safe environment which respects each individual client for who they are and who they can become.

To provide the highest level of confidentiality and attention to individual privacy requirements in a non-clinical, wooded retreat setting.

Who We Are

Anne Alexander Vincent, Ordained Minister of Pastoral Counseling, is the Owner of Cottage in the Woods, a licensed ministry center of the National Christian Counselors Association. She is completing her PhD in Clinical Christian Counseling through the NCCA. With more than 30 years of counseling experience, she has completed her 8th year of intensive training under Dr Patrick Carnes, PhD as a Certified Multiple Addictions Therapist and Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist and with the International Trauma and Addiction Professionals as a Trauma and Addictions Therapist.
